Ayesha's Monopoly Board Cycle for The Spot Project
Help me raise £2000 to build a 3-in-1 health clinic, school and skills centre in The Gambia.
The Gambia is the smallest country in mainland Africa, with a population of only 2.45 million.
In the UK, the risk of maternal death during pregnancy is 1 in 10,000. In The Gambia, the risk of maternal death during pregnancy is 1 in 24.
In the UK, primary and secondary education is free. In The Gambia, 30% of children cannot afford an education.
48% of the population lives in poverty, further obstructing access to healthcare and education.
Every child deserves the right to education, and every individual has the right to proper healthcare.
I will be doing a 24 mile bike ride around London in June, following the monopoly board, to fundraise for the completion of the Chamaya Centre, a 3-in-1 health clinic, school and skills centre in Chamaya Village, Gambia, West Africa.
In June 2020, I bought a bike and over the past few months I’ve been learning how to cycle to prepare for this 24 mile bike ride around the London Monopoly Board in June to raise money for the Spot Project!
I am to travel to Gambia in February 2022 to personally make a difference in the lives of those so much less fortunate than ourselves.
My target is £2000. Any donation and share, no matter how small or insignificant you may believe it is, will go a long way.
