Bangladesh & Rohingya camps
Bangladesh & Rohingya camps deployment
Alhamdulillah, Allah swt has given me the opportunity to go out there on behalf of GRT again to do my part, this time I will be going to Bangladesh! Whilst there we will be helping to provide hot food distributions, food parcels, medical aid and also water aid for the most affected people in Bangladesh and the Rohingya Refugee camps.
It will be the first time after my brother in law having passed away, that I will be going out to help which is why I have the intention of sadaqah jaariyah for him, so every pound donated will be a means of sadaqah for him, and he isn’t here to plead for you, but I will for his sake
- One of the most densely populated countries in the world.
One of the poorest populations in the world. 1 in 4 Bangladeshis live in extreme Poverty.
Healthcare system is poor and mostly private, meaning the poor rely on humanitarian assistance for medical care
- Recent history of the Rohingya is well known; they have been murdered, tortured and raped, in what is modern times, one of the worst ethnic cleansings we have ever seen.
- Close to 1 million managed to escape the violence, into neighbouring Bangladesh.
- Over 800,000 live crowded in a 25 kilometre radius. In refugee camps, there is a lack of food import, quality of accommodation is understandably poor, and the hygiene and sanitation is abysmal.
