This Ramadan, your zakat can make a real difference to the people of Idlib. Help these oppressed children walk again
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, along with prayer, fasting, pilgrimage (Hajj) and belief in Allah (SWT) and His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
For every sane, adult Muslim who owns wealth over a certain amount known as the nisab he or she must pay 2.5% of that wealth as Zakat.
As Allah (SWT) tells us in the Holy Quran:And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah (Quran 2:110)
Most Muslims recognise their duty to give Zakat, but unsure how they can make a real difference to the poor and oppressed. Your Zakat is packed with potential and this is why we are recommending you to provide a prosthetic limb to the oppressed in Syria.
Our center provides world-class treatment to Syrians who have borne the costs of the prolonged war which has entered its tenth year. Severely restricted access to medical care causes a significant number of injuries to turn into lifelong disabilities. One and a half million people in Syria are currently living with permanent impairments, including over 80,000 who have lost limbs due to the war.
One Nations Prosthetic Artificial Limbs Clinic in Syria (P.A.L.S) offers hope for a meaningful life for those who have lost limbs, by returning these individuals to a life of ability, independence and productivity. The prosthetic limbs our centre is providing, are of high-quality that match international standards.
Sadly, many of the victims are children, with your donations, One Nation is helping many children in the PALS centre. On average, the PALS centre treats around hundreds of patients a month.

PALS centre is a place of hope for these oppressed patients. Patients like 5 year old Naseem, who lost both of her legs during a bombing in her hometown of Aleppo in 2016.
A few years later, our staff found her in a refugee camp and fitted her with two prosthetics. Creating the perfect fit for prosthetic limbs, is a lengthy process. It requires numerous appointments to fit, tweak, and test the new limbs over a six-week period.
Training and physiotherapy is difficult at first. Slowly, Naseem has learnt how to walk again. The process is slow and Naseem will need life long support. But we are here, beside her every step of the way. We need your support so we can continue helping patients like Naseem.
Treating each patient costs around £1,000, this includes assessments, fitting and rehabilitation. Make that difference today and help change lives.
This project is zakat-eligible. Just imagine the difference your donation can make. You're helping individuals to unlock their potential by giving them the ability to walk again.
