About 1Eid Celebration Committee
How an Eid Festival managed to use its platform to help those in need
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”

1Eid's intention was to be global and fulfill our aims of social inclusion and bringing communities together. Since 2007 our dawah has grown to support and facilitate dawah events and festivals throughout the UK building bridges in the community and spreading a positive message and image of the beautiful faith of Islam.
Our platform has also been used successfully to make awareness of those less fortunate, thus 1Eid serves both purposes through our donors, to give people their basic human needs (food/water/shelter / education/ healthcare) but also the human need of joy, hope and community which is just as important. You can’t just send Eid gifts to children and ignore the plight of the family unit especially if they lack basic needs such as shelter and food.
1Eid has been able to achieve tremendous work in the UK but also use our platform to support those abroad as this is the very essence of Eid itself, to want for others what you want for yourself.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “None of you will have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
In another narration, the Prophet said, “Until he loves for his neighbor what he loves for himself.”
