The Surrey ISoc is Playing For Palestine!
The Surrey Islamic Society is raising money for Palestine!
Over the past month, we have witnessed the daily tragedies that the Palestinians have had to cope with. Large-scale population displacement, shortages of water and electricity, environmental health hazards and loss of income are some of the few calamities that have befallen the people of Palestine.
Mothers and fathers wake up everyday fearing for the safety and wellbeing of their children. The images we see online are just a small window into the reality that these brave people endure on a day to day basis.
But the truth is, the lives of 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza are hanging by a very thin thread. Hospitals in the Gaza strip have been stretched beyond capacity with inadequate equipment and extremely short supplies of medicine. With a shortage of fuel and electricity, travel and communication between the border is almost impossible. But we can help.
This summer, the Surrey Islamic Society is partnering with 'Play for Palestine' to raise funds on behalf of Human Aid UK, with the aim of helping those families affected in the recent tragedies in Palestine.
With your donations, Human Aid will help to provide emergency care packages to the people of Gaza, as well as deliver critical medical supplies to the Al-Shifa Hospital.
