The mission is to provide clean drinking water solutions to needy communities across Yemen and we need your incredible support
This devastating humanitarian crisis in Yemen has, for years, gone largely unnoticed. But the world can’t afford inaction any longer — too many lives are at risk.
19.3 million Yemenis struggle daily to access clean water and sanitation. Of these, 50 per cent have been directly cut off from this basic necessity of life.
As of July 2020, more than 24 million people within the country are in need of humanitarian assistance.
Yemen is the poorest country in the Middle East, torn apart by conflict and gripped by hunger. People are struggling to survive, severe outbreaks of COVID‑19, cholera and other communicable diseases are ongoing, and the risk of famine looms.
With your support we can make a difference. Each Solar Water Well costs just £3500 to install and will serve communities for more than a decade.
‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]
