Safety & Compliance
Compliance
GiveBrite follows a step-by-step process to vet non-profit organisations before onboarding them onto our platform. We utilise APIs provided by the UK Charity Commission to check the charity's registration status and ensure they are compliant with the necessary regulations.
As a partner with Stripe, the world's leading online payment gateway, we conduct thorough Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on every transaction, safeguarding both the charity and donor from sophisticated fraud. Additionally, we utilise SmartSearch, a leader in AML, KYC, PEP, and Sanction Screening, which is conducted in real-time to further enhance our due diligence process.
We never provide funds directly to individual fundraisers. All funds go directly to the registered charity, which ensures that donations are used as intended and transparently reported.

Good Practice
To ensure the safety and security of your online crowdfunding activities, it's essential to keep your card details and PIN numbers private. It's also important to verify the safety of your devices and internet connection before sharing any sensitive information.
At Give Brite, we prioritise the security of our users' information by never asking for card details. We also advise our users to be cautious when sharing personal information and to ensure that their devices and internet connection are secure.
In addition, we follow the fundraising regulator's code of practice to ensure best practices are followed on our platform. This includes transparency in fundraising activities, respecting donor's privacy, and ensuring fundraising campaigns are legal and legitimate.
- Vetting all registered charities to ensure they are legitimate and comply with fundraising regulations.
- Conducting thorough AML/KYC checks on authorised personnel from within the charity organisation.
- Using SmartSearch for AML, KYC, PEP, and Sanction Screening in real-time.
- Ensuring that no funds are given directly to individual fundraisers.
- Providing regular updates to donors on the progress of the campaign and how the funds are being used (advised to charities).
We believe that by following these safety measures and good practices, we can ensure a safe and secure platform for online crowdfunding and help our users achieve their fundraising goals while maintaining the trust and confidence of their donors.
